Octacus: the World’s First Octagonal Suture Needle

Hello.
The Obon season is over, and the weather has suddenly become autumnal.
The sound of cicadas, which were singing hard in the green space next to our main factory, seems to be getting weaker.

The new needle material “Octacus”, which we exhibited at the Japanese Society for Coronary Artery Surgery last month, was posted in the media.

Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun “Kono Seisakusho develops an easy-to-grip octagonal surgical needle, freely controlling the orientation during suturing”(article link)

IT MONOist “Development of an octagonal suture needle that is both stable and easy to operate when gripping the suture needle”(article link)

The Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun article was also reprinted on Mynavi Doctor.

We wanted to convey as much information as possible accurately, so we created press release materials for the first time.
We went through a lot of trial and error from the creation of the template, and even after it was completed, there were still many things we didn’t understand, such as the timing and method of distribution, etc.
We had a lot of trouble getting it right, but with the help of PR staff from other companies, we were able to get through it.

Thanks to you all, we were able to get the article read by our distributors, and we have already received inquiries.
We were surprised, as we did not expect such a response.
We are preparing to sell a little more, so we would appreciate it if you could wait.

After creating the release material this time, I thought it would be very useful to summarize information about the new product, such as the development process and product outline, so that it can be used as in-house material.

I think it’s time to start thinking about our next press release…
All employees, please look forward to it.
